How important is diversity in your business?

It’s nice being a go to person for your customers and it’s a great thing that you’ve already built a trust with them and they already know your workmanship. However using a quick example of our company we do what we do very well and what we don’t do very well we don’t try as our customers are not experiments. One of our good clients that we clean a lot of commercial carpet and tile and grout for asked us to clean a masonry product that was a version of stamped concrete. Even though we do a lot of paver cleaning we did not have experience in this area to remove stains that was their ultimate concern. We thanked him very much for thinking of us and for offering the opportunity to us, however declining because it’s not our area of expertise. People pay you for the trust and the value you build with them so in this case offering an additional service was not in our best interest or theirs. Having a well rounded diversity of offerings can be huge to your business and to your bottom line, find things that can benefit the customer your customer the one you’ve built that trust with.
