People pay for results, not excuses!!
When I would have my regular morning meetings with my stuff in the past something that was commonly heard by them from me was that I appreciate the effort that has been put forth by them every day to serve our customers and clients better, but then the icebreaker was they don’t pay us for that they pay us for a result. In my last book service without excuses I dive into a whole chapter of this particular part, just think about it, you hire a construction company or a general contractor to come out and do an addition on your home. You are already full of anticipation and excitement that this great new addition will make your home not only more valuable but more beautiful to live in, the crew shows up with a bunch of trucks looking like they’re ready to go by “tackling the world” (or in this case just tackling your home). They get out of the trucks and start pulling gear off and you’re thinking to yourself isn’t this nice my hard work will go to pay for this. Then suddenly everyone stops and grabs a coffee and decides that it should become a “water cooler “for them to stand around and talk about everything from sports to their kids, for that matter whatever. At this point you were thinking what’s going on, the crew that showed up and the company that I hired should be grateful that I’m spending tens of thousands of dollars to do this only to find out they don’t care or at least it seems that way. When you invest in hiring a professional service company you should expect them to go the extra mile or at a minimum at least be professional to do the job you’re paying them for. I always say good competitors don’t bother me, the ones that charge a fair price and do a high-quality job, the ones that do bother me are the ones that don’t care and you lousy work for a little Price. They tend to ruin the entire business or for that matter the entire industry with this business Model and it’s something I highly suggest you don’t follow!!
